Crafty Resolutions

Happy New Year to all! It's that time of year again when we resolve to fix all those nagging things that we dislike about ourselves. It seems appropriate that we should include our favorite hobbies in that list as well. So for 2012, my crafty resolutions are:

1) Buy more yarn

2) Be a better finisher than a starter
3) Buy more yarn
4) Make more time for crocheting
5) Learn to knit
6) List more on Etsy
7) Buy a lot more yarn

How about you?

  1. I don't normally make resolutions...If I do then they're always on my birthday and not New Years. But....for now I think I'll say that I'm going to:

    1) Try to finish all the half done projects that I have.
    2) Branch out into other items to post on Etsy rather than just all afghans.....though I love making afghans.
    3) Promote the store and blog as much as possible.
    4) Learn to knit (this is probably not going to get done but I'd love to try) :P

  2. I don't make resolutions any more. I have discovered that even when I follow through they tend to backfire in alarming fashions...
However, I enjoy helping other people keep their resolutions. So if that means I get to show others how much fun it is to knit, I'm good with that.

  3. My local hooks and needles group meets tomorrow night and rumor has it that they will be having instructions on learning to knit. I think I may have to check it out :)

  4. The closest group here is mainly knitters but they won't teach you how to knit. It's held out of a yarn store that offers classes so if you're interested in learning you have to pay for a class. :P

  5. No resolutions from me. I keep them for a couple of weeks and then forget tkhem. So this year I won't make any.
But buying more yarn sounds good although my husband won't think so.
