The Squares of Madness

by Kelly

Squares, squares, squares. Making squares for the SmoothFox charity drive...

Did you know that a square is a special case of a isosceles trapezoid, kite, parallelogram, quadrilateral, rectangle, rhombus, and trapezoid ?

                     49 squares done to date

Or that in Italian, a town square is called a Palazzo? And near Chicago there is a restaurant called the Pasta Palazzo? Am I the only one that thinks Pasta Palazzo is a hilarious name? Maybe it's all these squares I'm making...

                    that's 98 points so far!

The warden said hey buddy don't you be no square
If you can't find a partner use a wooden chair

                AH-ha-ha-HA!

Edit : I have since realized that a Palazzo is a grand house or museum, while a piazzo is a town square. Sorry for the error. However, to my mind, that only makes Pasta Palazzo even funnier.

  1. Awesome job! I've done 0 since our last delivery. Too busy working on afghans right now. I'm guessing I'll be doing a lot of squares on the drive down to FL but not sure that will be of much help in Nov. I have to get busy - busier :)

  2. Wow! Great job1

I'm with Dawn on not having any squares done. Though I'm hitting the wall with my afghan now too so I might switch back to the squares. At the same time I'd love to finish the afghan and get it posted cause it looks beautiful. But I'm losing motivation. :P

Though maybe you should take a break from the squares cause you seem to be going square crazy. :)

  3. I have 25 squares done so add another 50 points, Kelly. I've been putting in too many hours for work or I would have more. I'm working on a scarf right now. It does sound like the squares are getting to you.
